First Nations elders from across the province are in Saskatchewan over the next few days for a forum organized by the Saskatchewan Indian Cultural Centre.

The main agenda item at today’s session will be the creation of what’s being called the First Nations Elders Network.

Elders will be discussing the purpose of the network and how it will work.

As well, there will be discussion today about who exactly is an elder.

Tomorrow, the elders will be discussing their roles, particularly in the areas of spirituality and language and cultural revitalization.
