A group calling itself Kokums and Moshums against Drugs and Alcohol is holding a walk today in a show of solidarity against drugs and alcohol.

Beginning on the Ahtahkakoop reserve, the march will go until Sunday with the elders ending up at the Onion Lake First Nation.

The marathon event initially began last year, starting at the Sturgeon Lake First Nation before ending at Ahtahkakoop.

Organizers with the walk say the event is designed to show that faith and spirituality can play a part in curbing addiction.
