Eight Prominent Northerners Nominated For Award

Desnethe-Missinippi-Churchill River MP Jeremy Harrison has announced a list of names of northern residents he’s nominated for the Saskatchewan Centennial Medal.

 

Retired Lac La Ronge Indian Band chief Harry Cook, Meadow Lake Tribal Council chief Richard Gladue, CBC Radio personality Tom Roberts and Kitsaki Management CEO Ray McKay are among the nominees.

 

Other northerners on Harrison’s nomination list include Anglin Lake advocate Alice Tataryn, retired Meadow Lake RCMP Staff Sergeant Doug Zorn, Northern Pride founder and publisher Terry Villeneuve and Elk Ridge Resort founder Arne Peterson of Waskesiu.

 

The Centennial Medal is awarded to individuals that have made outstanding contributions towards improving the personal, cultural, social and economic well-being of Saskatchewan residents.
