A man who recently helped raise a ruckus about Liberal nominating practices in northern Saskatchewan is now changing his tune.

John Dorion says he is now behind Liberal appointee Joan Beatty and party leader Stephane Dion.

Dorion and David Orchard were both trying to secure the Liberal nomination in Desnethe-Missinipi-Churchill River before Dion handpicked Beatty.

Dorion, Orchard and hundreds of their supporters had been calling for Beatty’s resignation and a vote for the nomination.

But Dorion says he now fully supports Dion’s choice.

Dorion says Liberals in northern Saskatchewan have to stay united — and he accuses Orchard of dividing them and causing trouble.
