A meeting is set for Beauval this weekend to finalize some details regarding the Primrose Lake Air Weapons Range settlement.

Organizer Alex Maurice says talks recently took place between a committee examining the issue and the federal government, and they now need the services of a corporate lawyer.

Earlier this year, Ottawa and the province committed $19.5 million to four Metis communities affected by the creation of the weapons range in the 1950s.

Maurice says the matter is coming to a head, noting there will be some votes taken at this weekend’s meeting.

The meeting is set for 1:00 pm Sunday in the Beauval arena.
