Dillon Man to Stand Trial on Murder Charge

A 34-year-old Dillon man has been committed to stand trial on a charge of second degree murder.

Larry R. Billette is accused of killing 36-year-old Joan Campbell in Dillon last July.

His preliminary hearing wrapped up earlier this week in Buffalo Narrows.

About 20 witnesses took the stand during this week’s court proceedings, which lasted 3 days.

Billette’s trial will take place in Court of Queen’s Bench in Battleford.

No date has been set for the trial, but it’s expected to take place sometime in the fall.
