Representatives from the federal government will be in Beauval next month to hold a signing ceremony for the Primrose Lake Air Weapons Range settlement agreement.
The event is due to take place on March 30th.
The head of the committee overseeing the agreement, Alex Maurice, points out that Ottawa is the only party to come through with its share of the $19.5-million package so far.
He notes the provincial government has yet to make an announcement of when it will send its portion of the money.
Between now and then, he expects work on the file to continue — including the selection of which residents qualify for a one-time payment to elders.
Maurice says a board and CEO for the new agency overseeing the disbursement of funds will also have to be selected once all the money comes in.
