Trial dates have been set for Curtis Dagenais, the man accused of killing two Mounties in the Spiritwood area in July, 2006.
The trial is scheduled to begin in Court of Queen’s Bench in Battleford on September 15th and end on October 10th.
He has elected to be tried before a judge and jury.
Dagenais is charged with first-degree murder in the deaths of Constable Robin Cameron, a First Nations RCMP officer from Beardy’s/Okemasis, and Constable Marc Bourdages.
The officers were shot while chasing Dagenais in the wake of a domestic dispute.
They died a week later from their injuries.
Dagenais is also charged with one count of attempted murder in regard to another Mountie who was allegedly shot at, but not injured.
