CTV Shows Redman Documentary

A student-produced documentary about Amber Redman will air this Sunday on CTV’s “Indigenous Circle” program.
Ryan Pilon produced the piece and worked with six other University of Regina School of Journalism students.
He originally wanted to focus on why Aboriginal women are still going missing and being murdered, but says the focus shifted once he and his classmates started working on the documentary.
Redman disappeared from Fort Qu’Appelle in 2005.
Her remains were found three years later, and two men were charged with her murder. Albert Bellegarde was convicted of second degree murder.
The documentary, called “Stolen Spirit”, airs this Sunday evening at 6:30 on “Indigenous Circle”.
