SaskPower has completed another leg of its new transmission line from Prince Albert to La Ronge.

Crews have finished rebuilding a 74-kilometre stretch of cable along Highway 2 from the Timber Cove switching station to the Tracey Road regulator, 17 kilometres north of Weyakwin.

SaskPower spokesman Larry Christie says the new line will improve reliability and supply for residents in La Ronge.

Christie says completion of the remaining 74 km to La Ronge will depend on future load growth.
