Court Dismisses Assault Charges Against Roth

Assault charges against former Metis Nation – Saskatchewan President Dwayne Roth have been dropped.

The Crown alleged Roth pushed a woman in December 2006, and then pushed and grabbed the throat of her brother.

However, the alleged victims failed to show up to testify.

The judge ruled to dismiss rather than postpone.

Roth’s legal troubles don’t end there, though.

He still has to face charges of forgery and conspiracy to commit forgery relating to the controversial 2004 MN-S election.
