The La Ronge RCMP says it has recovered a counterfeit 20-dollar bill.

The Mounties say the discovery was made on Monday at the La Ronge Credit Union.

An RCMP spokesman says the counterfeit bill surfaced in a business deposit that originated from Wollaston Lake, but also says there’s no way to know for sure the bill’s origin.

However, the RCMP says that there is a strong possibility more counterfeit bills will turn up.

Anyone who knows anything about the origin of the counterfeit money is asked to call the La Ronge RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
