One of Saskatchewan’s largest uranium companies has a new president and CEO.
Former SaskTel president and CEO Don Ching will begin his new duties at Cogema Resources on January 1st.
Ching takes over from acting Cogema CEO Vincent Martin, who assumed control of the company’s Saskatchewan-based operations in June when former CEO Tim Gitzel accepted a position with the company in Paris.
Ching was the head of SaskTel from 1996 up until earlier this year when he announced his retirement from the Crown corporation.
Prior to that, Ching was president of the provincial Crown Investments Corporation.
Gitzel says Ching’s experience will be a real asset during Cogema’s current expansion of its McClean Lake operation and partnership developments at the Cigar Lake, McArthur River and Key Lake uranium mines.
