The mill at the Rabbit Lake uranium operation is up and running again after an incident a few months ago.

In January, a crew was excavating near the mill in order to install a new piece of environmental equipment.

Cameco spokesman Gord Struthers says they noticed what looked like yellow snow and ice forming at the bottom of the excavation.

Struthers says the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission was notified right away, as was the Environmental Quality Committee.

He says this seepage posed no danger to people nor the environment.

Operations at the mill resumed on April 2nd.

Struthers says Cameco is currently drilling to set up monitoring wells in the area.

Test samples from those wells will be sent to the CNSC in July.
