Closing Arguments Begin In Saskatoon Murder Trial

Closing arguments will begin today in a Saskatoon murder trial.

60 year old Brian Casement is charged with the first degree murder of 21 year old Victoria Nashacappo.

Nashacappo went missing more than six years ago.

Casement led undercover RCMP officers to her body nearly four years after that.

The Crown is arguing Casement picked up Nashacappo for sex, that she changed her mind so he raped and strangled her.

Casement says Nashacappo agreed to have sex with him and asked him to choke her during the act.

The jury will begin deliberating Wednesday or Thursday.
