Close Call For La Ronge Man

Prince Albert firefighters helped save a La Ronge man who fell into the North Saskatchewan River yesterday.
It was around 5:30 pm when the department received a report that someone had fallen off the railway bridge into the water.
A battalion chief with the department threw the man a line, which he hung on to until the rescue boat arrived.
The man was then taken to Victoria Hospital for treatment.
The man’s name has not been released.
