The acting deputy minister for First Nations and Metis Relations says the provincial government has dealt with an employee who handed out fake pink slips to workers at the ministry’s office in La Ronge.

In December, it was learned that an employee had handed out the bogus termination notices as a joke in the wake of the November 7th provincial election.

Ron Crowe won’t get into specifics, but does say the person responsible has been disciplined and is still with the ministry.

Crowe adds the workers affected by the stunt have been notified of the disciplinary action, and he’s confident this sort of thing won’t happen again.

He says the matter is now considered closed.
