Child Porn Charges Dismissed In Buffalo Narrows

A man whom once faced child pornography and sexual assault charges stemming from an alleged assault on a 5 year old boy from Buffalo Narrows has now been freed from any wrong doing.

51 year old Henry Douglas Bolstad was in a Buffalo Narrows court yesterday to face the child pornography charge.

A court clerk confirmed this morning that all charges Bolstad face were discharged. At Bolstad’s preliminary hearing last month, the sexual assault charge was also dropped.

This past summer, Bolstad was wanted on a Canada-wide arrest warrant for allegedly sexually assaulting the boy during his time in Buffalo Narrows, but he moved to Alberta before Mounties could arrest and charge him. Bolstad later turned himself into authorities in Alberta.

The Crown Prosecutor for the case has yet to comment on why the charges were dropped.
