Charges Laid Two Months After Fatal Rollover

A 20-year-old man from Cumberland House is facing a number of charges in connection to a fatal single vehicle rollover in February.

 

The RCMP announced the charges this morning.

 

The February 12th crash killed a 63-year-old Cumberland House woman and injured three other passengers.

 

It took place on Highway 123, about 30 kilometres north of Carrot River.

 

The suspect has been charged with impaired driving causing death, dangerous driving causing death, impaired driving causing bodily harm and dangerous driving causing bodily harm.

 

He is also accused of operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit.

 

He will make his first court appearance tomorrow in Carrot River.
