RCMP in Sandy Bay have charged two local men in connection with an altercation last week that sent four other males from the community to hospital.
RCMP spokesman Cpl. Brian Jones says the two suspects — aged 19 and 21 — are facing charges of aggravated assault and possession of a dangerous weapon.
The Mounties say there is no indication guns were used, but they do report that knives may have been involved.
The victims ranged in age from 17 years to 27 years. Two were sent to a Saskatoon hospital, while the other two were taken to a hospital in Flin Flon.
Jones says nothing has been released related to their current condition.
The accused will be in Prince Albert Provincial Court tomorrow, at which time their names will be released.
