Charges have been laid against a 24-year-old woman — nearly five months after a fatal crash that killed another woman from the Sweetgrass First Nation.

Crystal Dawn Fineday is in Saskatoon today making her first court appearance on five charges — including impaired driving causing death.

The victim, 24-year-old Melissa Albert, was a passenger in a car that Fineday was allegedly driving near Borden the late evening of May 30th.

The RCMP say the car veered into the oncoming lane and into the path of a semi hauling lumber.
