Charges Laid After Little Red Shooting Spree

A 38-year-old man from the Little Red River reserve is facing several charges following a disturbance involving gun shots at a residence in the community.

 

The RCMP say the incident took place at around 2:00 Friday morning.

 

According to the Mounties, they received a report that several shots had been fired at a home on the reserve.

 

When they arrived, they say the man believed responsible had left, but was found a short distance away in a vehicle driven by a woman from the community.

 

Durwin Fenton Cook has been charged with endangering life, assault, break and enter and a number of related firearms and driving offences.

 

He made a court appearance in Prince Albert today, and has been remanded in custody until his next appearance on Friday.

 

A 21-year-old woman is facing a number of driving-related offences in connection to the incident, and will be making her first court appearance on October 1st.
