A man accused of molesting a five-year-old boy in Buffalo Narrows last summer is no longer facing a charge of sexual assault.

Henry Douglas Bolstad had the sexual assault charge dropped in court yesterday.

However, he will go before a judge on February 14th to face a child pornography charge.

Bolstad was remanded into custody until his next hearing, which will take place in Buffalo Narrows.

The RCMP opened an investigation into the alleged sexual assault on the youngster just days before Bolstad allegedly fled to Alberta.

Bolstad was arrested this past summer after turning himself in to Alberta authorities, after hearing he was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.
