Community organizations within a 75-kilometre radius of the Whitecap Dakota First Nation have an opportunity to tap into more funds.

The Dakota Dunes Casino’s Community Development Corporation is holding a public information meeting tonight in Saskatoon to explain the application process.

CDC general manager Wilma Isbister expects to have between $4 million and $6 million to give to various organizations.

Isbister says the CDC supports a variety of initiatives under 10 different categories — including health, justice, education, and social development.

She says the CDC will start taking applications in March, with a deadline of mid-April.

Cheques will be delivered the end of June.

The meeting takes place tonight at 6:30 pm at the Hilton Garden Inn in Saskatoon.
