CBC Keeps Northern Voice Tom Roberts

A familiar broadcaster is staying put in northern Saskatchwean.

CBC Radio has decided to keep its La Ronge bureau open.

That means Tom Roberts will continue to broadcast “Keewatin Country” every weekday at noon.

Roberts says he’s happy to hear his show will continue. He was uncertain about the future after CBC initially told him they were closing the northern bureau down

He says many people had told him they didn’t want to see him go.
