Officials with the Caribou Management Board in Northern Saskatchewan continue to study satellite data about the animals.

Last winter, Government experts collared 20 animals from the Beverly Herd in the North. As well, they topped up the number of collars in the Qamanirjuaq Herd to 20 as well.

Wildlife Biologist Tim Trottier says it appears some caribou in the North are beginning to drift from their herd into others. He points out some of the herds stay traditionally close to one another however. Meaning some mixing is inevitable.
