Canoe Quest Team Reinstated

Team Des Nedhe Dene’s disqualification from the Saskatchewan Centennial Canoe Quest has been overturned.

However, the team from Patuanak will be slapped with a severe time penalty for racing the other day with less than the required amount of paddlers.

Their exact penalty has yet to be announced.

They and the rest of the teams are making their way from Grandmother’s Bay to Stanley Mission in today’s stage of the race.

They got a late start this morning after arriving much later than expected yesterday in a day filled with difficult portages.

Team Opimiskaw from Cumberland House continues to lead the overall standings.
