Canoe Lake Chief Lobbies for Highway Improvements

The chief of the Canoe Lake cree nation is throwing his support behind talk of road improvements to highway 903.

Guy Lariviere issued a press release this week saying he’d be in favour of improvements to the road to help with things like trucking.

He also is calling on Athabasca MLA Buckley Belanger to support the idea as well.

It was last week that Belanger issued a press release saying he worried the provincial government was thinking of upgrading highway 903 at the expense of highway 155.

Lariviere says he wants to see support for the entire region.
