A handful of residents from St. George’s Hill have decided to let their names stand for a position on the local council.

On February 8th, voters will head to the polls to select two of the candidates for public office.

Candidates running in the race include finance clerk Nicole Sylvestre, trapper Etienne Desjarlais, teacher aide Delphine Banks and homemaker Linda Cummings.

The vote was supposed to have taken place with the rest of the municipal elections this past October, but a lack of interest in two previous calls for nominations prompted the February election.
