Premier Lorne Calvert was presented with a Metis sash while in Buffalo Narrows yesterday.

Calvert and several cabinet ministers visited the northern village as part of his ongoing bus tour to the North.

The sash was given to Calvert by Buffalo Narrows Metis Council president Bev Laliberte, who urged the premier to resolve the provincial government’s impasse with the Metis Nation of Saskatchewan.

Calvert is visiting three more northwest communities today.

He began the day in Beauval, and is making stops in Patuanak and Pinehouse this afternoon.
