Calvert Continues Tour Of First Nations

Premier Lorne Calvert is visiting two more First Nations today as part of his ongoing bus tour.

He arrived at the Island Lake First Nation this morning, and toured the band’s health centre and school during his two-hour visit.

Later today, the premier will stop by the Big Island Lake Cree Nation.

The band has a ceremonial pipe protocol ceremony planned for Calvert’s visit, as well as a reception.

Yesterday, Calvert made a stop at the Saulteaux First Nation.

The premier has pledged to visit every First Nation in the province before the next election.
