Burning Suspect Delays Making Plea

The youth charged in connection to an investigation that saw a 26-year-old La Ronge woman severely burned will wait until mid-June to make a plea.

The 12-year-old girl, who cannot be identified because of her age, arrived at La Ronge Provincial Court this morning with family members.

The defence asked for more time to prepare for the case, so the matter was adjourned until June 19th for a plea hearing.

At last word, the victim was still recovering in a burn unit in an Edmonton hospital.
