Buffalo Narrows Sex Assault Suspect Back In Court

A man accused of sexually assaulting a five-year-old boy from Buffalo Narrows made his first court appearance today in Meadow Lake.

51-year-old Henry Douglas Bolstad has been remanded into custody until his next court appearance in Buffalo Narrows on September 6th.

Bolstad is facing sexual assault and child pornography charges stemming from an investigation launched by Buffalo Narrows RCMP this summer.

A Canada-wide warrant was issued for Bolstad’s arrest after it was learned that he left the northern community shortly after the investigation was launched.

Last week, he turned himself in to authorities in High Prairie, Alberta, where he reportedly had been working in the lumber industry.
