Buffalo Narrows Ready To Proceed With Bottle Ban

The northern village of Buffalo Narrows will be following in the footsteps of La Loche by implementing a ban on beer in glass bottles.

Mayor Bobby Woods says the bottle ban is being put in place because of the broken glass littering the streets.

Woods says the community response he has received so far has been positive.

The ban on the sale of glass beer bottles will go into effect on September 1st.

La Ronge is also planning to implement a beer bottle ban next month.
