Boy Run Over By Fire Truck; Only Bruised

A police investigation has wrapped up in the case of a young boy who was hit by a fire truck north of La Ronge last week.

The truck was being backed out of the fire hall at Sucker River when a five-year-old boy ran behind it, and was struck and run over by the rear wheels of the vehicle.

He was taken to hospital in La Ronge, and then medevaced to the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon.

The boy ended up being okay, receiving only some bruising to his feet and legs, with no broken bones.

The Mounties decided no charges would be laid.
