A judge has sentenced a Flin Flon man to 12 months behind bars for selling marijuana in Prince Albert.

57-year-old James Michael Bomek was handed the sentence in provincial court yesterday.

He was arrested last fall by undercover officers for apparently trying to sell drugs at his hot dog stand.

He also was charged with multiple counts of sexual assault in an unrelated matter a few weeks later.

A trial date on that could be announced later this fall.

The former lawyer made headlines a few years ago when he pleaded guilty to nine counts of sexual assault in northeastern Saskatchewan. The offences were committed against male clients in several Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation communities.
