A man accused of sexually assaulting a young boy in northern Saskatchewan will be the subject of a preliminary hearing next year in Loon Lake.

51-year-old Henry Douglas Bolstad appeared in a Buffalo Narrows courtroom yesterday to make his first court appearance.

Last month, the RCMP issued a Canada-wide warrant for Bolstad’s arrest — saying he was wanted for sex-related crimes in Buffalo Narrows.

Bolstad eventually turned himself into authorities in High Prairie, Alberta.

He was charged with sexual assault, as well as one count of making child pornography.

His preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 24th.
