Boil Water Advisory Lifted, Then Re-issued

Less than a day after removing a boil water advisory for Meadow Lake and Flying Dust, Saskatchewan Environment has now re-issued that precautionary advisory.

The department had earlier said that problems with the water treatment plant had been corrected, but now it says there were more malfunctions encountered overnight and it’s asking people in the area to once again boil their water until further notice.

The original advisory was issued in late March and lifted yesterday afternoon.

No one has been made sick by the water in Meadow Lake, and so far, test samples of the water have not contained any bacteria.
