A man from the Little Red River reserve has been identified as the body recovered in the North Saskatchewan River near Prince Albert earlier this week.

The remains of 41-year-old Randy James Cook were discovered by a local resident just east of the city on Wednesday.

An autopsy has since been performed on the body, and police are awaiting the results.

The RCMP’s Major Crimes Unit is investigating, but the Mounties aren’t saying if they think there was foul play involved.
