Body Found On Thunderchild Reserve

It appears a search for a missing man on the Thunderchild First Nation has ended on a tragic note.

A body was discovered on the reserve last night.

A search began the previous day for 47-year-old Anthony “Bones” Wapass, who hadn’t been seen since late Saturday evening when he left a reserve residence for another house.

RCMP spokesperson Natalie Gray says the search has been called off, but the RCMP haven’t confirmed the identity of the body.

Gray says foul play is not suspected.
