The Black Lake RCMP has made some arrests in connection to a recent string of arson fires in the community.

A 14-year-old boy is facing a charge of arson in connection to the fire that destroyed the pool hall in Black Lake in the early morning hours of August 8th.

The teen is also accused of attempting to burn down the building a few days earlier.

Meantime, two Black Lake men have been charged with setting a vacant house in the community on fire on September 5th.

21-year-old Austin Donard and 18-year-old Jordan Cook are facing arson charges.

The Mounties say they have investigated a number of deliberately set fires in the community recently and they’re asking residents to report any suspicious activity immediately.
