Black Lake Assault Suspect Surrenders

A man accused of sending another man to hospital with serious injuries in Black Lake last month has turned himself into police custody.

A warrant had been issued for the arrest of 20-year-old Greg Mercredi following what police are calling a serious assault in a Black Lake residence on February 22nd.

That assault left a 32-year-old man bleeding badly when he was found by family members.

He was then airlifted to a Saskatoon hospital for treatment.

Mercredi surrendered to the Fond du Lac RCMP this past weekend.

He’s facing a charge of aggravated assault and is due to appear in court in La Ronge on March 12th.
