RCMP still don’t have many leads or suspects in a case that saw a Beauval man found seriously injured along a northern Alberta highway.

The Mounties say Ron Eldredge was found on the Buffalo Lake Metis Settlement on the evening of April 26th.

Once officers attending the scene realized how badly Eldredge was hurt, he was airlifted to a hospital in Edmonton.

At last word, he was in a coma and on life support.

RCMP spokesman Corporal Al Fraser say the investigation is continuing, but it’s not clear what exactly happened.

He says the RCMP are investigating the case assuming Eldredge was a victim of criminal activity.

Fraser says it’s possible Eldredge was clipped by a passing vehicle or was beaten and left on the side of the roadway.
