Beatty Debating Switch To Federal Politics

The first Aboriginal woman elected to the Saskatchewan legislature is considering a career change.

 

New Democrat Joan Beatty is thinking about a move to federal politics.

 

She says she’s been approached by both the N-D-P and the Liberals to run federally in a northern Saskatchewan riding.

 

The vast Desnethe-Missinippi-Churchill riding north of Prince Albert was left vacant when Liberal M-P Gary Merasty resigned in August.
