Beardy’s Rollover Suspect Enters Guilty Pleas

A guilty plea has been entered by a 16-year-old Beardy’s/Okemasis band member accused in a fatal rollover.
An 18-year-old male and 11-year-old girl were killed on June 20th after the van they were riding in overturned on the reserve.
The accident injured seven other people, as well.
Police charged the suspect with numerous charges shortly after the crash.
On Wednesday, he pleaded guilty to two counts of impaired driving causing death, three counts of impaired driving causing bodily harm, and one lesser offence of taking a vehicle without consent.
He will be sentenced for his actions on September 19th.
The other five charges he faces will be spoken to at that time.
