School officials say the Northern Teacher Education Program will likely be graduating its largest class ever this weekend.

Graduation ceremonies for both NORTEP and NORPAC take place tomorrow afternoon in La Ronge.

A total of 22 northerners are receiving bachelor of education degrees.

Last year, 11 students received education degrees.

NORTEP was created in the 1970s to fill the need for northern teachers in their own communities.

Meanwhile, 7 northerners will be receiving their bachelor of arts degrees tomorrow through the NORPAC program.

The graduation ceremonies are scheduled to begin at 2 o’clock tomorrow afternoon at the Mel Heglund Uniplex.
