Bands Pestered By Bogus Purchase Orders

It appears some northern bands are winding up with purchase orders they know nothing about.

At least one northern band official is speaking out over the issue.

Ann Sylvestre of the Birch Narrows Dene Nation says some unknown persons have been using fake purchase orders to get things like hotel rooms paid for — for free.

The band is refusing to honour the bogus order forms.

Sylvestre asks businesses to be on their guard when accepting P.O.s, and she advises companies to check with the band if they’re not sure.
