Several central Saskatchewan First Nations are teaming up with neighbouring municipalities to explore Aboriginal tourism opportunities in their region.
The Kawacatoose, Day Star, George Gordon and Muskowekan First Nations will sign a partnership agreement today in Wynyard.
They plan to work with neighbouring towns, villages and RMs, as well as the provincial government and tourism groups, to develop joint tourism ventures in the Touchwood Hills area.
The partnering First Nations have agreed to work closely with Tourism Saskatchewan and the Aboriginal Tourism Association of Saskatchewan to develop a strategic regional tourism plan.
