One of the coordinators for this week’s cultural celebrations at Batoche says things are looking good and ready to go for the annual affair.

Peter Rudyck says a host of dignitaries and officials are expected to be on hand including Provincial Justice Minister Frank Quenell, Metis National President Clem Chartier and other provincial leaders.

Rudyck says he is looking forward to the event’s opening ceremonies, set for Thursday (July 22) at 5:00, but admits this year’s edition of Back to Batoche days has been a lot of hard work.

Rudyck says Metis representatives from North Dakota and South Dakota are expected as well. The event runs through until Sunday afternoon.
