A man from the Big River First Nation is facing an attempted murder charge following a violent assault in a reserve residence.

The RCMP say a 39-year-old woman was attacked and seriously injured in her home shortly before 1:00 Sunday morning.

She was transported to a hospital in Saskatoon with serious injuries.

A suspect was eventually arrested without incident Monday evening at another reserve residence.

In addition to attempted murder, 21-year-old Bradley Keenatch faces a number of other charges — including aggravated assault, break and enter and unlawfully wearing a disguise.

The RCMP also say Keenatch faces a series of weapons-related charges in connection to an unrelated incident Saturday evening, also on the reserve.
